Phase 2

Phase 2 curriculum marks a transition from Phase 1 by structuring learning around early concepts found in the National Curriculum. While Phase 1 focusses on developing generalisation skills through event-based teaching that applies skills across various settings aligned with pupils' interests, Phase 2 expands access to a broader, subject-specific curriculum while maintaining a play-based learning environment.

Phase 2 curriculum is structured around early concepts underpinning the National Curriculum while also addressing pupils learning barriers.  These barriers may include challenges that impede a pupil's ability to engage in group discussions, expand their vocabulary, and work and play cooperatively with peers.

Every pupil has a Personalised Learning Plan (PLP) to address specific needs and learning gaps.
