Hedgewood School
Welcome to Hedgewood School. We are a special school maintained by the London Borough of Hillingdon. Our school caters for primary age pupils, most of whom have autism, complex moderate learning difficulties and communication and interaction difficulties and other sensory impairments. Each pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Our pupils are at the core of, and shape all we do. We provide opportunities and support so each pupil develops a good work ethic, inner confidence and the interpersonal and social skills needed for adult life. We enable our pupils to make positive choices about their behaviour, both in and out of school, so they become successful members of the wider community. We are very proud of all the children at Hedgewood and want all our children to achieve the best possible outcomes.
The staff are hardworking, dedicated and highly skilled and work with other professionals to provide the best school provision possible. Our parents/carers are partners and we want to work with them in their child’s journey through Hedgewood School.
We hope you find our website useful. For pupils’ families, the website is designed to help you plan for the year ahead. We regularly send out reminders and notices about significant dates. You will find these in the school diary section. Special events and activities are posted on our blog throughout the year.
If you have any questions or points you would like to share, please contact us.
Any one of our admin team are always happy to help. Our leadership team are always on hand to listen and assist. Our senior staff are: Headteacher, Mr John Goddard; Deputy Headteacher Mrs Diane Owens; and Assistant Headteachers Mrs Bryony Smith, Mrs Pearl Greenwald and Miss Victoria Leahy.
Remember no problem is too small to be discussed!
We hope you enjoy learning about our school.
